Driveway cleaning in Oregon City that actually lasts.
Your driveway is the first thing anyone sees from the street, and in Clackamas County it's fighting moss, algae, oil, and eight months of rain. We clean concrete with commercial surface cleaners and root-killing pre-treatment — so it comes out even, bright, and stays that way longer than a rental-machine rinse ever will.
Most driveway cleaning jobs start at $199 — exact price from a photo, before we ever show up.
How we clean concrete: the surface cleaner difference
Most DIY and low-bid driveway jobs are done with a wand, which is why they end up covered in overlapping stripes — "zebra striping" — that show up worse once the concrete dries. We use walk-behind surface cleaners: spinning bars under a shroud that hit every inch of the slab at the same pressure and the same height. The result is one uniform finish, edge to edge.
Before any water hits the slab, we pre-treat the moss and algae so it dies at the root instead of getting a haircut. That's the difference between a driveway that's still bright next winter and one that's green again by February. Joints and edges get detailed by hand, and we rinse down walkways and the street line so nothing we lifted ends up somewhere it shouldn't.
- ✓Walk-behind surface cleaner — no wand stripes
- ✓Moss and algae killed at the root, not rinsed off
- ✓Expansion joints cleared of growth
- ✓Full rinse-down of surrounding areas
Oil, rust, and tire marks
Stains get treated as their own problem, because they are. Oil spots get degreaser and dwell time before the main clean. Rust — from furniture, fertilizer, or irrigation — needs a dedicated rust treatment, since no amount of pressure removes it alone. Tire scuff and sealant marks usually release with hot pre-treatment. We'll look at a photo of your stains and tell you honestly which will disappear and which deep-set oil shadows might only fade.
Worth doing while we're there
Most driveways here share their problems with the surfaces around them. If the driveway is green, the back patio and walkways usually are too, and the siding above the garage often carries the same algae film. Bundling surfaces into one visit is cheaper than booking them separately — tell us what you're seeing and we'll quote it as one job.
After cleaning is also the right moment to consider sealing. A sealed slab sheds oil and organics instead of drinking them in, which stretches the time between cleanings. We'll give you a straight answer on whether your concrete would benefit.
Driveway cleaning questions, answered.
Will pressure washing damage my concrete?
Not the way we do it. Damage happens when someone holds a narrow wand tip too close and etches lines into the surface. We clean with a walk-behind surface cleaner at pressure matched to the concrete's condition, which is how you get an even finish without wand marks.
Can you get oil stains out?
Usually most of the way, honestly not always 100%. Fresh oil lifts well with degreaser and hot agitation; oil that has soaked into unsealed concrete for years can leave a shadow even after a proper clean. We'll tell you up front what your stain will realistically do.
What about rust and tire marks?
Rust needs a dedicated rust remover, not just pressure — we treat those spots separately before the main clean. Tire marks and driveway sealant scuffs come up well with pre-treatment. Both are included in how we quote the job, not surprise add-ons.
Why does my driveway turn black and green every winter?
The black is algae and the green is moss, both feeding on moisture that never leaves the surface between October and May here. Cleaning without treating just mows it — we pre-treat so the growth dies at the root, which keeps the concrete brighter noticeably longer.
Should I seal my driveway after cleaning?
Freshly cleaned concrete is the right time to think about it. A quality sealer slows down how fast oil, rust, and organic growth take hold again, and it makes the next cleaning easier. Ask when you book and we'll talk through whether it's worth it for your slab.
